TEYA - Juba General Assembly Meeting on May 3rd 2025.

The Twic East Youth Association (TEYA-Juba) has continued to demonstrate its commitment to empowering youth and strengthening democratic processes through a series of important events and activities this year. At the heart of TEYA-Juba’s mission is a focus on integrity, unity, and prosperity — values that have guided the association’s work and inspired youth across Juba and beyond.

Highlights from the 2025 Extraordinary General Assembly
On May 3, 2025, TEYA-Juba held its Extraordinary General Assembly, where members gathered to reflect on achievements, discuss challenges, and chart the way forward. This meeting was a landmark moment, setting the stage for robust governance and transparent internal elections.
During the assembly after reading of the 2023 - 2025 report, two critical bodies were formally appointed:

Independent Electoral Committee (IEC) — tasked with organizing, managing, and overseeing TEYA-Juba’s electoral processes, ensuring that all elections are free, fair, and conducted in full compliance with the association’s constitution (2022, as amended 2024).

Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee (EDRC) — appointed to fairly and transparently handle any election-related complaints or disputes raised by candidates or members. This committee, chaired by Anyar Matiop, will ensure that the electoral process remains credible, inclusive, and just.
